Implied Stays

Implied stays give clarity to your commands and help your dog maintain behaviors while eliminating any confusion. When your dog doesn't have to guess or "read the play" they become much more reliable with obedience.

Now that your dog is "under command" they are expected to maintain this behavior until they are released by you. Even if you feed them, walk away, or anything else happens - they should keep doing this behavior. With lots of training and practice, they will learn to cope with and tolerate lots of distractions, distance from you, and duration knowing they are correct as long as they keep up the behavior until they are released.
