School Days

School Days are highly customizable, structured daycare programs where we curate social groups based on each dog's preferences and capabilities. This approach ensures that all dogs are safe, comfortable, and well-matched. Shy dogs can learn how to navigate more confidently and tap into their own play style. Dogs that are exuberant and super friendly can learn how to modulate their play and practice impulse control.

Throughout the day, we focus on impulse control, engagement, and appropriate play skills. Additionally, if your dog is enrolled in a training program, they will receive individualized training sessions that coincide with the program they are currently enrolled in, along with exercise and play opportunities throughout the day.

SCHOOL CRATING SCHEDULE

Dogs arrive by 9:00am - some dogs are integrated into play groups right away, and some are crated, depending on the mix of dogs we have that morning. At 9:00 we convene to schedule and map out training sessions and play groups for the day.

From 9 AM to 12 PM, we rotate dogs through play groups and individual training sessions. Dogs are crated for intervals ranging from 10 to 45 minutes during these rotations.

Between 12pm and 1:30 pm we find an hour to break for lunch - all dogs are crated for a rest.

Between 1:30 pm and 3:00 pm we are cycling through playgroups and training again.

At 3:30 pm we begin to clean the studio, equipment, and yard and dogs are generally crated around this time until we close.

Can I sign up for School without purchasing a Program?

We prefer that dogs enroll in a training program before attending school days. This helps us maintain a safe and structured environment where all the dogs have the same foundational training, allowing us more fun and freedom during the day. We make exceptions on a case-by-case basis for dogs wishing to begin school without completion of a training program first. EMAIL to learn more.

What does my dog need to participate on School Days?

We will need proof of your dogs's negative fecal results (done within the last 6 months) and the expiration dates for DHLPP, and Rabies. We STRONGLY recommend Kennel Cough (Bordetella) at this time.

Puppies can start as early as 8 weeks and may not have all vaccine boosters. We ask that owners update us as they are received. Please update us when they have received Rabies as well. You can email us a copy ahead of time by clicking here.

Most students pack a bag or a lunchbox with treats (and lunch if they eat during the day). Please let us know if your dog has allergies/intolerances to different foods (or if anyone in your household is allergic to peanut butter!)

Dogs should be comfortable being crated and have no history of human or dog aggression.

Dogs will be asked to stay home from school if:

- They have vomited more than 2x in the last 24 hours or have had diarrhea

- They have any unusual discharge from nose, eyes, or genitals

- If you notice any unusual coughing/gagging

- If they seem lethargic, or if they are lame/limping
